Genius Maker - School software - Chemistry softwareORGANIC FUNCTIONAL GROUPS WITH 3D MOLECULE ANIMATION |
The Organic functional groups with 3D animation of molecule is a chemistry software, which provides information of 30 important organic functional groups along with the custom animation of the functional groups as well as example molecules in 3D. The software provides the description of each functional group as well as the IUPAC and common names of the example molecules displayed.
An Exercise for custom animation practice:
Click "View Full Screen" button. The software displays the scaled-up 3D custom color animation of the selected compound in "Full Screen Mode", which occupies the entire screen of your computer.
Refer the following figure for the naming convention used in this exercise.
Position the mouse pointer at Top Middle. The molecule starts rotating vertically with good speed.
Move the mouse pointer towards Center slowly. The molecule continues to rotate vertically, but its speed of rotation reduces gradually.
Now move the mouse pointer towards Bottom Middle. The molecule starts rotating in the opposite direction. It's speed of rotation increases gradually as the mouse pointer is moved away from Center.
Now move the mouse pointer towards Center slowly. The molecule continues to rotate vertically, but its speed of rotation reduces gradually.
Position the mouse pointer at Middle Left. The molecule starts rotating horizontally with good speed.
Move the mouse pointer towards Center slowly. The molecule continues to rotate horizontally, but its speed of rotation reduces gradually.
Now move the mouse pointer towards Middle Right. The molecule starts rotating in the opposite direction. It's speed of rotation increases gradually as the mouse pointer is moved away from Center.
Now move the mouse pointer towards Center slowly. The molecule continues to rotate horizontally, but its speed of rotation reduces gradually.
Position the mouse pointer at Top Left. The molecule starts rotating at 45o angle with good speed.
Move the mouse pointer towards Center slowly. The molecule continues to rotate about the same axis, but its speed of rotation reduces gradually.
Now move the mouse pointer towards Bottom Right. The molecule starts rotating in the opposite direction about the same axis. It's speed of rotation increases gradually as the mouse pointer is moved away from Center.
Now move the mouse pointer towards Center slowly. The molecule continues to rotate about the same axis, but its speed of rotation reduces gradually.
Repeat the same exercise by moving the mouse pointer between Top Right and Bottom Left.
You may try to position the mouse pointer at the exact center of the animation area in an attempt to completely stop its rotation speed. You will be able to position the mouse pointer at the exact center after a few trials. Once you positioned it at the exact center, you will notice that the molecule stops rotating.
Just click at anywhere in the animation area at any time. The animation pauses at the current view position.
Just click once again to resume animation.
